Bill Croxen

AKA: Papa Bill to many but GRANDPA to the Crew
*Known for his gentle nature, hearty laughter, and countless acts of kindness. Grandpa Bill has an uncanny ability to make people laugh.
My wife (Beany) and I moved to Lowell from the Thurston area in 2016. In 2018 after three decades of mentorship I retired from International Paper. I worked from an entry position to the well-earned title of Supervisor of the Parts Department.
I introduced myself to the Lowell Fire Department in 2018 and began training to be a Tender Driver. This is a real honor for me. Long ago I competed for a position with the Springfield Fire Department in 1979, unfortunately it was not the chosen occupation for me at that time. Now I’m just next door to the fire department. In 2022, I began volunteering with Bill Prizer as Building and Grounds Maintenance and have continued my training as Tender Driver.
2024 I received my EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) certification for Lowell Fire Department.
I am the proud father of 2 beautiful daughters (Tanya and Sara) and their husbands (Aric and James). They have blessed us with 4 wonderful Grandchildren (Jakob, Kalob, Mary & Clara).
This coming May I will have spent 49 years of marriage with my patient wife.
Aside from hanging out with the Crew, I have enjoyed playing 47 years of League and Tournament Softball games locally. And Playing at the Senior Games in St. Georg, Utah for 8 years. I also have a relationship with Golf. Sometimes not so good. I find peace in hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, throwing the ball for our dog, Lexi< and laughing and sharing Good Times.
